New visit of Terra Brasilis School

[2019 sep 02] Second visit of Elementary I students from Terra Brasilis. The return of the school was provoked by the interest and taking advantage of the group that had been here in June.

Matemateca at the USP and the Professions Fair

[2019 aug 22-24] As is tradition, Matemateca contributed with the IME-USP stand at the USP and Professions Fair, an event held at the ScienceTec Park.

Matemalecrim

[2019 jun 27] Matemateca's exhibition at the Matemalecrim event, which is a gymkhana of math games at the end of the semester for the Elementary School II students.

Matemateca visits the Terra Brasilis School

[2019 jun 18] Matemateca received students from Elementary I of Terra Brasilis School, from Taboão da Serra, which adopted as the year's theme the Mathematics, with the Matematicando Project, which aims to demonstrate our students in a simple and playful way the importance of Mathematics in your day to day.

Matemateca at Santa Cruz EXPO

[2019 apr 06] Matemateca went to Santa Cruz School to participate in a “hands on” festival, with around 30 workshops led by teachers and students, to integrate families around shared experiences of technology, science, sports, culture and art and show the curriculum that has been built in the projects elementary school specials. The expected result is to start produce parts and small objects with the students who are part of a Mathematics Club organized by teachers in the area.

CPC and the USP's collections

Matemateca is one of the collections and centers for scientific and cultural dissemination compiled and exhibited in the exhibition "Museums and Collections at USP", held by the USP Cultural Preservation Center. The exhibition will be in the entrance hall of the USP Rectory Building until 04.12.2019, but its content can also be viewed online (aqui). Matemateca deserves a special link, see here.
