Participation of Matemateca in SeLic (Graduation in Mathematics Week)

[2020 oct] The IME-USP's Graduation in Mathematics Week, whose theme this year was "Women, Mathematics and Education", invited Matemateca to participate in the lives of the event, held from October 12th to 16th. Before each lecture, there was a video made, directed or edited by a member of the team and, with an average audience of 150 people per lecture, Matemateca's work was very well publicized through this partnership. If you want to see these videos and still honor the event, the lives were saved on the SeLic channel.

  • Exhibition "Mathematics: another look"

[2020 mar] The exhibition, scheduled for the period from March 05 to 29, 2020, but interrupted after the 15th, because of the covid-19 epidemic, was held with great success in partnership with the Maria Antonia University Center. Many schools have been in touch since January to schedule visits for their elementary and high school classes. The exhibition had more than 1800 visitors in the 10 days it was open, including the opening day. As there was a demand for visiting schools that exceeded the capacity we had to serve everyone, Matemateca is trying to organize itself to, if possible, mount the same exhibition in other places. That, of course, after we pass this health crisis.
