Matemateca's participation in the Project USP in the Community

[2021 aug/oct] The Dean of Culture and University Extension (PRCEU) invited Matemateca to integrate the Project USP in the Community, which featured two trucks, named “Health and Science” (where free STD and Covid tests were carried out) and “Cultura and Education” (where Matemateca was present). So far, there have been two actions: one at the Latin America Memorial, from August 26th to 29th, and one at USP's Solar Clock Square, on October 2nd.

Visit to Alef Peretz School

[2021 aug] Matemateca exhibited some pieces in the two units of the Alef Peretz School (one in Jardim Paulistano and the other in Paraisópolis). In each of the places, the exhibition lasted two weeks, allowing high school students to play and understand the mathematical concepts involved in the pieces.

[2021 jul] The MatemaTDIC, a blog that contains several topics about mathematics, invited Profesor Eduardo Colli, director of Matemateca, to give them an interview, telling them about how the idea for Matemateca came about and how it has grown since its creation, becoming a reference center.
